It’s been a busy first day in John Thornhill’s Partnership to Success program.  Each day I’ll post an update sharing my progress through the program.  My goal with posting daily is twofold:

  1. To hold myself accountable to take action daily
  2. To share my progress with you.

Whether you are interested in joining this program or not, I am thrilled to be part of it.  The way the training is delivered really works for both my learning style and available time.  Each day is laid out in a very simple series of steps.  There is a daily checklist I can download and fill out to keep track of my progress and a series of short (less than 5 minutes each) videos that I follow that walks me through every step.

Day 1 Tasks

Day 1 is all about laying the foundation for your business.  Tasks include:

  • Choosing the right domain name for my business and registering it.
  • Finding and setting up web hosting
  • Installing a blogging platform
  • Update blog settings
  • Write my first blog post
  • Check out a motivational book to help get in the right mindset for building a successful business

Reflections from Day 1

Nothing too challenging today, but took a bit longer than I expected due to some web hosting issues I brought upon myself!  So far the pace and teaching style really work well for me and I couldn’t be more excited to move to Day 2!

See you tomorrow!

Are you considering building your own online business but aren’t sure where to start or how to figure everything out?  If so, I’d encourage you to check out the same program that I’m using right now to build this site and my first product.  John Thornhill’s Partnership to Success program will teach you how to build a business of your very own and provide the same mentoring resources that I currently use.
